We are seeking an Operations Lead to join our team and help support our continued growth.

Vivli is a global nonprofit data-sharing platform dedicated to advancing science and human health by facilitating access to and reuse of clinical research data. Our platform enables researchers to discover, request, and analyze anonymized clinical trial data from more than 8,000 studies to accelerate scientific discovery and improve patient outcomes. Our operations team manages hundreds of data requests from researchers at any time. We are a collaborative, mission-driven organization that values integrity, innovation, and teamwork.

Job Summary

The Operations Lead will support the sharing and requesting of studies via the Vivli platform. This role supports our members and researchers with managing individual data requests as well as optimizing the workflows and resources of the operations team. The Operations Lead will report to the COO.

Location: Remote, preference for an individual working core hours of 9am-5pm Eastern time zone.

Travel: Up to 3–4 times per year within the United States for team meetings and conferences

Position Summary:

Vivli is seeking an Operations Lead to join our high-output, fast-paced operations team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional in supporting a community of users and be well versed in data sharing. The ideal candidate will thrive on a mix of hands-on work and individual execution as well as optimizing the data request process. Experience in clinical research or an adjacent field, is highly desirable.

The role will be instrumental in supporting Vivli’s growing membership base and improving the workflow of the operations team to provide excellent management of study submissions and data requests. The successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative team that demonstrates both independence and adaptability in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Onboarding of new members.
  • Providing excellent on-going membership services and support.
  • Process Improvement: Continuing to improve operations workflows.
  • Manage data request review process for specific requests and other platform operations
  • Team Coordination: Ability to lead and influence team members and fostering a positive work environment that supports team growth.
  • Lead special projects as required, particularly those related to operational excellence of the Vivli platform.
  • Perform other duties when requested.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years prior experience managing data disclosure processes, either at an existing repository, platform or as a data contributor
  • Minimum of 3 years of managing customer, member or partner relationships
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills to collaborate with teams
  • 3 years of experience working in an academic medical center, industry or government preferred
  • Proven experience in mapping, designing, and maintaining workflows, with experience in identifying bottlenecks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • 2 years experience managing and negotiating data use or data sharing agreements, preferred.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Dropbox etc.
  • Ability to manage projects and resources
  • Bachelor’s degree in the health profession or science field or related profession
