Summary of the Proposed Research:
It is well known that physical activity has an important impact of glycemia on Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) patients. More precisely, physical activities increase the risk of hypoglycemia on T1D patients.
Modeling the effect of physical activity into glycemia is relevant to science and public health as described in the following:
Public health: understanding the effect of physical activity on glycemia may help to improve glucose regulation on thousands of T1D patients. Moreover, a model of the effect of physical activity on glycemia may help to improve control algorithms in the artificial pancreas to the benefit of thousands of patients.
Science: Some papers resulting from this research may be published to increase and hopefully improve the state of the art on the relationship between physical activity and glycemia.
