AD Data Initiative
| About | The Alzheimer’s Disease Data Initiative is a 501(c)(3) on a mission to fundamentally transform Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) research.
Led by a global coalition of academic, industry, government and nonprofit partners, the AD Data Initiative empowers researchers by fostering research collaboration, enabling seamless access to multiple data-sharing platforms, and unlocking important ADRD datasets. Through AD Workbench, our secure, cloud-based data-sharing and analytics environment and the interoperability layer of the AD Data Initiative technical suite, we’re powering researchers to advance scientific breakthroughs and accelerate progress towards new treatments and cures for ADRD. |
| How we share on the Vivli Platform | Selected Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia studies from Vivli members are discoverable through the AD Data Initiative’s Discovery Portal. Researchers can request access to these datasets via Vivli, and if approved and legal agreements are signed, they can bring the data into a secure Workspace on the AD Workbench to analyze it alongside other datasets using available analytical tools. |
| Exceptions | Data access requests are subject to approval by the respective data contributors. |
| Additional Conditions for Access | In order to discover and request access to these selected studies from Vivli members specifically through the AD Workbench, it is necessary to be a registered AD Workbench user – which can be completed here. |
