Title of Proposal Research: Outcomes of Left Main Purcutaneous Coronary Intervention across age classes
Vivli Data Request: 7289
Funding Source: None
Potential Conflicts of Interest: None

Summary of the Proposed Research:

Left main percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has becoming an alternative to bypass surgery in patients who refused or have contraindication to open surgery. Several trials and metanalysis investigated to outcomes of Left main PCI compared to surgery, suggesting an increased long-term mortality and chance of re-do of PCI and an increased rate of stroke for surgery. An analysis able to provide real world data on large scale across different age classes is still lacking.

Analysis dataset of cardiac catheterization procedures from the Duke Information System for Cardiovascular Care (DISCC) (“ACATHD”)
