Vivli Webinar: How Vivli Promotes Discoverability of Partner Platforms and Repositories

Vivli held a webinar to share how we work with our platform partners, including NIH Domain Repository partners, to enhance discoverability of their data. Vivli has recently been named a Generalist Repository as part of the NIH GREI initiative.

A primary objective of the GREI initiative is to supplement the NIH domain-specific data repositories in their data sharing.

The speakers shared case studies and a live demonstration of how the repositories work together to promote re-use.

This webinar covered how Vivli supports NIH-funded researchers in advance of the NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy that begins in January 2023.

The webinar was held on June 22nd, 2022.

Vivli to participate in NIH HEAL program webinar

Vivli’s Rebecca Li, Executive Director, and Julie Wood, Senior Director, will be featured as panelists for Open House for HEAL Data: Discussions with HEAL-Recommended Repositories on Thursday, May 19th from 1:00-2:00pm ET.

The NIH HEAL Initiative® aims to create a novel web platform connecting data from existing repositories to allow researchers to share, find, and analyze data, with the goal of collaboratively accelerating scientific discovery and developing solutions to address the national opioid and pain management public health crises. The over 600 awards involved in the initiative are producing data at rapid rates, and identifying the right repository to house HEAL data is essential for researchers to share, discover, and develop solutions to urgently put an end to these interconnected crises and save lives.

In this webinar, Vivli, alongside National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and Figshare, will share their insights during a panel discussion and Q&A led by Alex Waldrop of the HEAL Data Stewardship Group.

Waldrop will also share resources newly developed since last year’s Finding a Home for Your HEAL Data webinar, including an updated repository selection quiz, a curated list of recommended repositories, and an explanation of how choosing a repository intersects with preparing study-level metadata for the HEAL Platform.

We look forward to seeing you there!
